Weyerhaeuser-Idabel Lumber Mill Presents Grant to KTC

Weyerhaeuser - Idabel Lumber Mill presented a grant check to Kiamichi Technology Centers-Idabel Campus in the amount of $6,100 to purchase a Motor and Pump Alignment Station. Jay Smith, industrial tech instructor, wrote and submitted the grant.  With this grant, the industrial tech students will be trained in proper alignment procedures.  Students will also use this equipment to learn motor control, variable frequency drives, and PLC programming.  This training will prepare the students to be employed right after graduation at such places like Weyerhaeuser and other industries in the area.
