PUBLIC NOTICE OF INTENT TO CONSTRUCT AN INDUSTRIAL TRAINING CENTER

The U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration (EDA) is considering a request for Federal assistance from Kiamichi Tech - Durant to construct an Industrial Training Center located at the Kiamichi Technology Center, Durant, Bryan County, Oklahoma. Pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, as amended, EDA is conducting an environmental assessment (EA) of the proposed project. 

The project will be located at 810 Waldron Rd., Durant, Oklahoma. The Industrial Training Center will be approximately 15,000 square feet and feature shops and classrooms for two training programs. The building will be situated directly behind the main campus facility to the east so the building entrance faces the west.

Comments received in the EDA Regional Office by 5:00 pm on July 8, 2024 will be considered.  A copy of the NEPA decisional document will be available upon request at the above EDA Regional Office.
