Poteau, Okla. - Kiamichi Tech’s Workforce and Economic Development Center is meeting training needs for local law enforcement through its CLEET accredited Police Officer Training Academy. Central National Bank has continued its support of the program by donating scholarship funds to support a local peace officer in training.
The Kiamichi Tech team is grateful for the continued generosity of Central National Bank as they have supported student scholarships in this program since its inception.
“We are proud to support an officer every year by assisting with their tuition,” said Mike Hall, President of Central National Bank. “We believe that when officers are better trained, it benefits our entire community.”
Kiamichi Tech is proud to provide advanced law enforcement education and training through its Police Officer Training Academy. “From day one, we have prioritized the highest standard in all aspects of this training program,” said Shannen Hamby, Workforce and Economic Development Coordinator. “Training future law enforcement officers is something our team is passionate about, and is not a responsibility we take lightly. We are so grateful to have community partners like CNB who value this program and want to support our students through scholarships.”
The Academy is a 17-week program covering all facets of law enforcement education from law enforcement driver training and firearms safety to defensive tactics and criminal investigations.
