Meet Lindsey Roberts, Health Careers Education

Health Careers Education student, Lindsey Roberts, says attending Kiamichi Tech has helped her set goals for her career in healthcare and beyond. Lindsey chose to attend Kiamichi Tech to train as a Long Term Care Nurse Aide and Medical Assistant as the first steps in her pursuit to become a Registered Nurse (RN). 

Why did you choose to attend Kiamichi Tech?
I knew that I wanted to help others through healthcare, but before coming to Tech, I didn’t know how to achieve that goal, or what steps I needed to take to get there. Now, I have a plan in place to help me reach my goal of becoming an RN and pursue a healthcare career in the military.

What skills have you developed at Kiamichi Tech have helped you succeed?
There is a big focus here on employability skills and the social skills that are needed to be successful in any job. I have really learned time management and the importance of taking initiative. 

What have you enjoyed most about your experience at Kiamichi Tech?
I love the people I get to be around every day. The culture at the campus is inspirational and heartwarming. They truly want to see me succeed.
